Celebrate Thanksgiving with Data!

November 26, 2020

There’s nothing better than celebrating Thanksgiving with some real estate data, am I right?

MANHATTAN: September and October contract activity is clearly showing that demand in Manhattan is recovering from an abysmal Summer. But remember that 2019 was also a slow year for Manhattan during these months (compared with previous years), so overall it is still a slow market. My prediction for November is an even bigger uptick with in contract numbers because I can already feel that the streets are buzzing with activity.

BROOKLYN: The news is finally catching up to what we’ve already known about Brooklyn. It continues to boom with activity. Home prices are not pushing upward necessarily, but in contract velocity is very strong as buyers seek Brooklyn fundamentals — more affordable, less densely populated, low-rise neighborhoods.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your loved ones!
